Holistic Guidance

Reconnecting to your Wholeness

Welcome

The wisdom of healing already lies within. Learning to be with our wounds and how to listen to these subtle messages of healing is how we learn to trust ourselves again.

Experiential healing rooted in body-centered and trauma-informed mindfulness and expanded states of consciousness.

Using mindfulness and a grounded, caring presence, I work with individuals and groups to come back to wholeness.

My practice is grounded in mindfulness based somatic work (Hakomi principles and practice), Earth-based wisdom, Taoist philosophies, and shamanic guiding in expanded states of consciousness based in the Mazatec tradition. As a trauma-informed integrative practitioner, I invite clients to come back into balance, and trust in the power of each one of us as individual and collective self-healing system(s).

Having faced significant trauma early in life, losing my mother at age 10 to cancer, and then my long-term partner and several close friends when I was 26 in a yachting accident, I found myself lost and adrift in life. Over many years I had worked with several traditional therapists, and felt frustrated

and stuck as I wasn’t seeing any noticeable improvement. I was ready to give up all hope when I started working with my teachers in expanded states of consciousness, leading me to quickly learn that my personal traumas were far more extensive than I originally recognized. They were not only tied to to my own experiences in this lifetime, but they also weaved inter-generationally through my family’s lineage and cultures of origin. Unexpectedly, repressed memories of childhood sexual abuse also resurfaced, and I further began to see how a lack of parental emotional attunement throughout my childhood impacted the beliefs I carried about myself, impacting my adult interpersonal relationships. With the gentle guidance of my mentors, I found the space of personal healing by honoring with the truths of my experiences, helping me reconnect with the vibrancy of my spirit.

It was within that process that I discovered that the wisdom within my personal traumas were also guiding me towards my newfound purpose in life: to be in service of others as they learn how to tend to their own physical, psychological and spiritual wounds. I realized that the lessons from own traumas made me perfectly suited to hold patient and compassionate space for others as they move through their own processes of healing.

After training in various western-based psychology systems, as well as spiritual traditions, energy work, somatic practices, and completing an extensive multi-year apprenticeship in guiding others in expanded states of consciousness, I offer my unique skillset and services to clients. I work with those struggling to cope with existential crises and the burdens of grief, as well as recovery from the dark stains that many feel after experiencing unwanted sexual encounters. I also help clients understand and release the unconscious cords tying so many to intergenerational and cultural traumas, and assist those wanting to be free of cycles of anxiety and depression, substance abuse and their addictive behaviors. Many of these behaviors and unconscious conditionings originate from complex childhood trauma, and as they begin to reopen themselves to greater feelings of empowerment and self-love, clients begin to experience stronger relationships and wholeness as these traumas become understood and healed.

Years spent working, studying and living in different cultures around the world have further shaped the way in which I view my clients and this work. I have an inclination to approach situations with an open mind and believe there are many ways to work towards a solution. It really comes down to integrating custom solutions to the needs of the individual client. At various times in my practice I may lean on more western archetypical, humanistic, developmental and depth psychology practices, while at other times I draw more from my eastern and indigenous philosophical understandings of the natural world.

Prior to embarking on this chapter of my professional focus, I led an entrepreneurial life with a background in sales, marketing and real estate. When called for, I easily lean upon this background and skillset to assist clients move through any blockages that may be impeding their own professional development.

It is truly an honor of a lifetime to be able to give back and serve others in this way.

Core Values

These core values define the foundational principles of how I work with clients, how we co-create our partnership, and the accountability and standards that provide the strong container for this work to be done.

Empathy

Empathy is a prerequisite for this work. Without being able to truly empathize with our clients, we will not understand what they are going through, and thus we may become more prone to judgement. Yet if we hold their experiences with tender empathy, we may more fully see our clients and their experiences well beyond what typically meets the eye. And understanding that suffering permeates pain in every facet of life allows us to join them with unconditional positive regard, which is one of the most healing forces of all.

Patience

Patience is an integral component of this work. At its core, patience is non-violent. Every person has their own timeframe of healing, thus we must remain patient as each unique process unfolds organically. Rushing a person or their process only delays our clients’ journey back towards wholeness. By remaining patient, we may also remain present, which strengthens the client’s ability remain patient and present with themselves. As I enter this life of service, I choose to remain patient with my clients and with myself.

Trust

Trust is imperative in every aspect of this work. We must trust in our clients’ abilities to heal themselves. We must trust in the organicity principle, the spirits, the medicine, the lineage that has come before us, and we must trust in ourselves to hold the sacredness of this work with the highest of integrity and honor. Everything happens for a reason, and everything else doesn’t happen for a reason as well. We must trust in the process to unfold in the way it is supposed to, and not let our own biases, expectations or projections cloud the work of our clients.

Service

Being in service to others is the highest honor we may accept. But it comes with a great responsibility to hold other’s vulnerability with tenderness and integrity. Service comes disguised in many forms, but at its core it remains the same, it is premised in love. Service must be bedrocked in our love for others, our love for the universe, and love for ourselves.

Integrity

Integrity is necessary in everything, but it is especially important when holding the delicate vulnerabilities of others. Having integrity will ensure that we do this work with openness and sound values. It also mandates that we do our own soul’s work, without compromise. This shows others how to live with integrity and allows honorable values to percolate more deeply into our collective consciousness.

Love

Love is the most healing power of the universe. It naturally instills  balance, harmony and wholesomeness. When we hold and accept the most painful of thoughts, emotions and experiences with the tenderness of unconditional love, even the hardest edges of suffering begin to soften. Love is the antidote to suffering. Love is unconditional.

Spirit

Spirit exists in all things, it is the invisible tissue that connects everything that exists, everything that has ever existed, and everything that will exist in the future; and without it, we are nothing. Trust in the great spirit will also help carry our clients and ourselves through the most tumultuous of times. Spirit is our courage in the presences of adversity, and our softness in the arms of love. Spirit is literally everything. Surrendering to spirit will always lead us to humility, and wholeness.
